Instruments, Power
The lights are controlled by six Entertainment Technology IPS-DS-1206-TL Six Dimmer Strips. (Operations Guide [PDF], Specsheet [PDF])
The ceiling grid has fifteen HLV distribution boxes from SSRC, model HLV-PM-1-L2120R-1-DMXPT (HLV Specsheet [PDF]) . The boxes have a NEMA L21-20 receptacle and a DMX passthrough. Six of these boxes are used by the six IPS-DS-1206-TL dimmers, while the remaining nine boxes are available for future expansion.
Each distribution box has its own circuit breaker in the breaker panels. The panels are located to the left of the main studio entrance. Each distribution box and corresponding breaker is labeled with a yellow sticker and an identifier (1A..5A, 1B..5B, 1C..5C).
The fixtures use halogen lamps labeled HX605 (GLA) and are rated at 575W for 115V circuits. The Program usually purchases the bulbs from Applied Audio and Theatre Supply. In the past, Applied Audio carried lamps made by Thorn Lighting, part # 39148.
Sound
Microphones
The Program of Movement and Dance currently has one wireless lavalier microphone. If additional microphones are needed, the Program can rent them through UR Event Support, but you must have Debbie Dowd request the additional equipment at least two weeks prior to the event.
Playing pre-recorded music
The Program has a sound board that is connected to the studio's wall-mounted speaker system. The sound board is connected to a CD player, and can be connected to an iPod using a mini-stereo (1/8") plug.
